DNS Jumper

DNS Jumper does not increase your raw bandwidth (download or upload speeds), but it can instantly boost your web browsing speed by reducing the time it takes to look up and load websites.

Your default Internet Service Provider (ISP) DNS servers are often slow, crowded, or unoptimized. DNS Jumper is a free, portable Windows utility created by Sordum that allows you to benchmark various public DNS servers—like Cloudflare, Google, or OpenDNS—and automatically apply the fastest one for your specific location. How DNS Jumper “Speeds Up” the Internet

When you type a web address like google.com, a Domain Name System (DNS) server acts like a phone book, translating that text into a numerical IP address.

ISP DNS: Often slow, shaving milliseconds off your initial load times.

Third-Party DNS: Services like Cloudflare DNS or Google Public DNS handle these requests much faster.

The Result: While a 50GB game won’t download any faster, web pages will begin resolving, responding, and loading much more snappily. Step-by-Step Guide to Using DNS Jumper 1. Download and Launch the Tool

Visit the official developer website at Sordum to safely download DNS Jumper.

Extract the downloaded ZIP file to any folder on your hard drive.

Run the executable (dnsjumper.exe). There is no installation required because it is a fully portable application. 2. Find the Fastest DNS for Your Location Locate the left-hand menu sidebar on the interface. Click on the Fastest DNS button.

A new pop-up window will appear showing a large list of global DNS providers.

Click the Start DNS Test button at the bottom of the pop-up window.

The software will instantly ping every server on the list and order the results based on their response speeds. 3. Apply the New Configuration

Look at the top of the ordered list; DNS Jumper will automatically highlight the server with the lowest response time.

Click the Apply DNS Servers button inside that pop-up window.

You will hear a confirmation chime, indicating your system’s network adapter has successfully updated to the new configuration. 4. Clear Your Cache (Optional but Recommended)

On the main menu page of DNS Jumper, locate the button shaped like a vacuum cleaner/broom (the Flush DNS button).

Click it once to clear your old, cached network resolution data and force your PC to immediately use the new, faster server. How to Revert to Default Settings

If you ever experience compatibility issues or wish to go back to your original internet configuration:

Open the Choose a DNS Server drop-down menu on the main interface. Select Default (or Restore) DNS from the list.

Click the Apply DNS button to restore your original ISP parameters. If you want to optimize your network further, let me know:
