The Location: The exam takes place on Mount Fujikasane, a mountain where wisteria flowers bloom year-round.
The Trap: Wisteria is highly poisonous to demons. The Demon Slayer Corps captures live demons and traps them on the mountaintop, using the surrounding wisteria lines as a natural prison.
The Rule: To pass, candidates are dropped into the demon-infested zone and must survive for seven full days and nights.
The Reward: Survivors officially become Demon Slayers, receive their own Kasugai Crow for communication, choose the ore for their unique Nichirin Sword, and are assigned an official rank.
The Hand Demon: During the main protagonist Tanjiro Kamado’s exam, he encounters a massive, mutated demon known as the Hand Demon, which had spent decades hunting down and eating the students of Tanjiro’s master, Sakonji Urokodaki.
